Donald Lee Bilbro, 60
Donald Lee Bilbro, 60, passed away April 2, 2016, in Moab, Utah, of congestive heart failure. He was born in Conrad to Walter D. and Bertha M. “Micki” (VandenBos) Bilbro on March 19, 1956, the first of five children. Don roughnecked in the oil fields for several years and also worked at carpentry and farming. He got into the bar business when he managed and then bought the Lucky Dollar Casino in Sweetgrass, and continued on with cooking and bartending after that.
The last few years Don enjoyed traveling around the country with his dog Marley, following the warm weather and seeing new places. He loved meeting new people, telling stories, and spending the summers in the Flathead Valley.
Don was preceded in death by his sister Kathryn and his grandson Logan Arnst.
He is survived by his parents; his son David Bilbro Arnst and wife Teri, granddaughter Alex Arnst and Chris LaFrance and great-granddaughter Madilyne, all of Kalispell; sisters Barbara DeMangelaere, of Great Falls, Debra Johnson, of Arvada, Colorado, and Bonnie Buls and Dan McDowell, of Kalispell; and nine nieces and nephews. He leaves behind his dog Marley.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
