SOFTBALL: Polson beats Columbia Falls; win streak at 7
POLSON — Polson pushed its winning streak to seven straight Thursday evening by downing Columbia Falls 8-6 in Northwestern A softball.
Polson (9-1 overall, 1-0 league) tallied five runs in the fourth inning to take a 6-4 lead. Ashley Benson doubled in two runners with the bases loaded and two outs.
Columbia Falls threated in the top of the seventh with two runners on and one out. But Polson right fielder Quinn Motichka caught a deep fly and threw a runner out at the plate after tagging up at third base.
