Inez Louise Cummings Soule, 90
Inez Louise Cummings Soule, 90, died Tuesday, April 19, 2016, in Kalispell where she was a resident at Heritage Place Healthcare Community.
She was born Oct. 29, 1925, in Eureka, California, to Inez and Charles Lang. She grew up in Sumas, Washington.
At the young age of 15 she married Lawrence J. Cummings on Nov. 30, 1940, and they moved to Plains, Montana, where he was from. They ranched southeast of Plains for several years. She worked as a cook at different restaurants over the years, as an apartment manager, and as a bookkeeper for Larry with several of their businesses.
Later on, she married Bernard Soule; she called him “My Bernie.”
She was preceded in death by her parents; and Larry Cummings; two sisters; Bernie Soule; and her daughter, Linda Rutherford.
Survivors include two sons, Lonny Cummings and his wife Lynn, and Lorry Ted Cummings, all of Kalispell; eight grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren, and three great-great-great-grandchildren.
She was a member of the Canvas Church in Kalispell and told us many times she was “ready to go home to the Lord.”
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 27, at Canvas Church.
