LAW ROUNDUP: No one's got mail!

Someone turned in strewn mail to the Postal Service at the direction of Flathead County Sheriff’s Office after mail boxes were smashed on South Many Lakes Drive in Kalispell. The mail meant for multiple people was scattered across the ground.

A man reported that he had dropped his gun off at a gunsmithing business and did not get his firearm back before the business went belly up and failed to return his property.

A wedding ring was reported stolen from Conrad Drive.

A woman called from Marion to report that a fellow employee had taken photographs of her with a cellphone against her wishes, after being warned by her employer not to take unauthorized photos. A deputy advised the woman about how she could get a court order of protection in the case.

A man called from Hungry Horse to ask for guidance on how to handle a large number of syringes that he had found on his property.


A Whitefish Police officer helped a man on East Second Street properly dispose of a barrel with syringes inside that were suspected to have been used for drugs.


Kalispell Police and an Evergreen fireman checked on a baby that was allegedly left in a car off U.S. 93. The responders found that someone had actually left a blanket draped over the child’s seat to keep it cool, but there was no baby inside the car. The youngster was safely inside a building with adults.

An ambulance administered first aid to some facial lacerations after clients at a business on Ninth Street West got into a fight. No one wanted to press charges.

A transient man was told not to come back to a location off U.S. 93 after someone reported that he was staying in a dumpster behind a business and had been leaving human waste in the area.
