SOFTBALL ROUNDUP: Libby drubs Eureka in conference showdown

LIBBY — Kahlyn Hageness and Lindsey Walker checked Eureka on three hits, Haylee Cannon went 4 for 4 and Jordan Turner drove in four runs as Libby posted an 18-0 Western B softball victory on Friday.

Libby banged out 17 hits.

Hageness doubled three times, Cannon had two while Turner tripled and Taryne Luscher homered.

Shyann Ferguson doubled for Eureka.

Libby (7-3 overall) hosts Drummond/Philipsburg today at 2:30 p.m.

FRENCHTOWN — A walk-off grand slam by Brooke Yarnall in the sixth inning gave Frenchtown a lopsided Northwestern A victory over Polson in a contest shortened by the 10-run rule.

Frenchtown outhit Polson, who had won seven straight, 19-5.

Shelby Shourds also homered for Frenchtown.

Hannah Fryberger had the only extra-base hit for Polson, a double.
