Legion baseball: Lakers AA gain split; Twins B post 2 tourney wins
HAMILTON — The Kalispell Lakers AA split an American Legion baseball doubleheader with the Bitterroot Red Sox A on Sunday.
Kalispell scored six runs in the top of the fifth to break open a scoreless battle for a 9-3 victory in the opener.
Joe Broughton, 2 for 4, had five RBIs for the Lakers. Leif Erickson, 2 for 3, doubled twice and drove in two runs.
Kalispell could muster just three hits in dropping the second game, 10-0.
Kalispell (7-2 overall) hosts Helena for a doubleheader on Sunday at 1 p.m.

EUREKA — The Glacier Twins B wrapped up play at the Eureka Round-Robin Tournament with two more victories.
Jared Reynolds went 3 for 5 and drove in four runs for Glacier in the win over Mission Valley. Terek Bistodeau went 3 for 5 and totaled three RBIs.
Nathan Hader reached base four times and scored four runs. He also drove in a run.
Against Missoula B, Tom Hellwig had four hits in four trips to the plate, drove in two runs and scored three times.
Reynolds and Bistodeau also had two RBIs each.
Glacier went 2-1 in tournament play. The Twins are 4-1 overall and have outscored the opposition 51-9 in their last four games.
