LAW ROUNDUP: Successful gobbler hunt causes concern

Flathead County Sheriff’s Office passed information along to a game warden after someone on Conn Road in Columbia Falls complained that two teenage boys were allegedly not being safe as they shot and killed turkeys in the reporting party’s yard. The boys allegedly had a home in their line of fire during the hunting. Despite the safety concerns, it appeared that the hunt was successful as each boy walked away toting a bird in one hand and a rifle in the other.

A deputy referred a case to Lake County officials after a teen in Lake County allegedly made threats to a 13-year-old boy in Bigfork over social media.

A person outside of Kalispell said that he was afraid after his upstairs neighbor confronted him and threatened him for allegedly stalking the neighbor.

A man on Bernard Road in Evergreen reported that three years after he had reported a gun stolen, he found the firearm in his vehicle.

A man called from Witty Lane in Columbia Falls to report that he had gotten out of his car to confront two men who were involved in an ongoing harassment problem he was having. The two men allegedly had followed the man home. He said he was assaulted during the incident. An ambulance was requested for a possible injury to the head, though the man reported that he was able to make it back home safely.


Columbia Falls Police took a man to jail after he allegedly threatened his neighbors with a gun.

Reported gunshots on Grace Road turned out to be someone shooting off fireworks.


Kalispell Police responded to Depot Park where a man reported that someone else had pinned him to the ground and tried to make him drink vodka. The man wanted someone arrested.

A woman called for medical assistance complaining of chest pains. She admitted to consuming crystal meth and Xanax earlier in the day. She claimed she was not trying to overdose.
