LETTER: More deserve punishment

In the case of Brandon Newberry, his punishment should be exactly what he did to Forrest Groshelle and then some.

But what about the people who witnessed some of this abuse or who had knowledge... where is their punishment for not stopping it? Those who witnessed him being locked in a room, as well the 2-year-old being sat on ... really? Due to their lack of “getting involved,” Forrest who was a 2-year-old DEFENSELESS little boy paid the ultimate price. And then CPS what[’s their excuse?

You should all be ashamed of yourselves.
