LAW ROUNDUP: Deputies unable to locate naked man
Flathead County Sheriff’s Office found two fully clothed transient men in a field after someone called to report that a completely naked man was standing off U.S. 93 outside of Whitefish, staring up into the trees. While deputies did not find the naked man, they did follow the transients back to their camp and advised them to move along.
A parent in the Columbia Falls area reported that her 12-year-old son had been spray-painted by three girls a day earlier. The parent was upset that the boy’s shoes were ruined. He was also sick, but it was unclear if that was linked to exposure to spray paint.
A man on West Cottonwood Drive was counseled about his allegedly rude behavior after it was reported that he had been hanging out a window, yelling at some neighbor children. He allegedly made the children cry after he told them that if their deceased father was still alive, the man would shoot him. It was suggested that the family who fell victim to the insults consider installing a fence to keep the man away.
An officer went to Forest Hill Village after a woman reported that an attempt to retrieve property went south when a man pointed a rifle at her and threatened to shoot her. Officers helped with the property retrieval and separated the parties involved.
Whitefish Police were unable to locate two youths who allegedly set a doll on fire in an alleyway next to a business. A business owner helped put the fire out, but the boys ran off. The witness reported that the boys did not appear to be trying to deliberately set a building on fire.
An officer told a woman to call again if transients kept causing problems at a local church.
Columbia Falls Police took a report from a woman who claimed that a freshman in high school had tried to solicit nude photographs from her daughter. It was unclear if the event should be in the jurisdiction of Columbia Falls or Eureka.
Kalispell Police received a report from Battle Ridge Drive about a $400 bike being stolen from a garage.
No one wanted to press charges after a fight at the intersection of Seventh Avenue West and West Center Street that left at least one person injured. An officer determined that an ambulance was not needed. Those involved were mum about what caused the disagreement.
