LETTER: How Ted Cruz sealed his doom

John Kasich and Ted Cruz stumbled.

The mistake was caused by an “honorable” man, as Brutus claimed to be after assassinating Caesar. To make their conspiracy public, exposes Ted’s liability. He’s certainly brilliant, and he’s certainly a constitutional purist, but his pride demanded his behavior be above-board and telegraphed to the entire nation.

To add to this political foolishness, sealing his own demise, he makes a “donkey” of his political partner. John Kasich’s light-bulb went out a long time ago. Sorry, but there is a real parallel of Ted’s ego to that of socialist Bernie Sanders, who is also in love with his “honor.” Bernie Sanders never gets anything done, but he’s damn proud of it! He’s such a pure and harmless soul that its hard to believe he’s capable of being a socialist.

 So, there you have it. It is now a finished political race. Ted Cruz has lost the Republican nomination because of his pride. Street-fighter Trump will win, and his name will go down in American history, like that of all the assassinated Caesars, extremely popular but extremely dangerous not only to the political establishment but to the stability of international peace.

I think I hear Paul Simon singing, “I dreamt I saw the Statue of Liberty, slowly sailing out to sea. Well, I guess no one can expect to be forever free!”
