MISSOULA — Rain washed out much of the action for Flathead, Glacier and the other schools at the Missoula Invitational tennis tournament on Saturday at Fort Missoula.

Only a few singles matches were played and results from those were not available.

Bitterroot Invitational

Heather Luedtke and Hannah Madsen along with Katie Fyall and Anna Peterson had the best performances for Whitefish at this one-day event.

The two doubles teams won both of their tournament outings.

Nathan Fauth went 1-1 in boys singles for Whitefish and the boys doubles team of Ryan Brown and Austin Reese split their two matches.

Libby sweeps Ronan

LIBBY — Libby’s girls cruised to a 6-0 verdict while the Libby boys won twice in singles and doubles for a 4-2 triumph in Western B dual action with Ronan.

The Libby girls did not drop a set on the afternoon while Jessika Jones, at No. 4 singles, won 6-0, 6-0.

The most competitive match in boys play was at No. 4 singles with Caleb Kobel of Ronan besting Raffi Weber, 6-4, 7-5.

Libby’s No. 2 doubles team of Gio Cano and Ryan Nagle breezed to a 6-0, 6-1 win.

Libby hosts Bigfork on Friday in the regular-season finale.

Bigfork hosts a Western B divisional on May 13-14 with state to follow May 18-21 in Missoula.
