LAW ROUNDUP: Hit-run-and-strip driver sought

Kalispell Police searched for a man in a gray tie-dyed shirt who allegedly ran from the scene of a car accident into Woodland Park, took off his clothes and started to relieve himself. Witnesses said the man was swerving on U.S. 2 when he ran into a Prius and clipped several other vehicles before fleeing.

A man reported his license plate was stolen off his recreational vehicle as it was parked along 10th Avenue West. The man’s brother allegedly watched the theft take place, then told the victim about the event after he woke up.

A woman reported that a man came into her friend’s house and pointed a pistol at a barking dog.

Police helped locate a man who fled the hospital with intravenous lines in his arms. The hospital wanted the medical equipment returned.


A woman told the Whitefish Police Department that someone living with her allegedly was stealing from thrift stores in Kalispell and Whitefish.

Vandalism was reported at a Texas Avenue home.

A woman on Mountain Park Drive was teaching her 4-year-old how to dial 911 and thought she hung up in time, but didn’t. Embarrassed, she apologized when dispatchers called back to make sure everything was OK.

An employee on East First Street was concerned about drug activity when a man and woman came inside the business carrying a plush blanket and locked themselves in the restroom.


Columbia Falls Police Department responded to a report of a verbal disturbance on Beth Road and arrested a woman for disorderly conduct.

A teen who was eating ice cream in the park said he saw a woman with a bandaged foot crying. The woman was allegedly approached by a man in a vehicle and then she reportedly went and sat down in the road while the man watched her.
