Skydive boogie starts on Saturday

| August 5, 2016 8:15 AM

The 49th annual Lost Prairie Boogie kicks off Saturday, Aug. 6, and continues through Aug. 14 at Carson Field in Marion west of Kalispell.

Meadow Peak Skydiving has hosted the annual skydiving event since 2012 on 100 acres of property in the Lost Prairie Valley of Northwest Montana. Even novice skydivers can soar at this private locale on Lost Prairie Road. Flights take off from Carson Field, an adjoining private airstrip, for tandem skydives from 9,000 feet.

Camping will be available with internet access, a new shower house and a hosted barbecue on Saturday and free beer nightly after the last load for all registered jumpers and campers.

Meadow Peak is located at 10260 Lost Prairie Road in Marion. Traveling westbound on U.S. 2, visitors should turn right on Lost Prairie Road (between mile markers 87 and 88) and take the road for approximately 4.5 miles. The facility is on the right.
