LETTER: Kalispell city officials need to pay attention

| August 9, 2016 10:08 AM

We have heard just about all we can stand concerning aircraft flying into the city airport. When looking at this wonderful bypass on the west side of town, we get far more noise than we ever did from the city airport.

Another complaint is what about these city ordinances that are never enforced — like keeping lawns mowed, shoveling sidewalks within 72 hours after a snowfall. Why is it that the city will plow Second Street and Second Avenue West after every snowfall and never touch Third Avenue and Fourth Street West where the Elms and Elrod School are located? It gets so narrow at times you couldn’t fit a shoehorn between the cars.

Another point I would like to make — the hayfield across from the city shop looks terrible. So does all the brush and tall grass along the city shop’s fence.

Likewise, that area as you leave Kalispell headed to Evergreen — what a joke as far as the city ordinances go. —Francis Flanigan, Kalispell
