Columbia Falls Police looked for an alleged motorcycle thief after a man told officers his bike was stolen and the keys were removed from inside his house. The caller later said the bike was returned and he saw the suspect running off “in the middle of the night.”

A man called when he found a “crack pipe” as he was mowing his mother’s front yard. The man wanted to know how to safely get rid of the object.

Whitefish Police removed a man from several downtown stores after he allegedly appeared to be “stalking” a shop employee and was “putting staff on edge.”

A Whitefish resident reported a large black bear was hanging out in a tree.

Someone reported a man was walking through downtown Whitefish with a bloody eyebrow, “long bro hair” and a beard. The caller said the man looked disoriented and was heading into another bar.

Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies searched for a man in Columbia Falls on a motorcycle who was allegedly drunk. A caller said the motorcyclist hit a boy in the head with his helmet after the boy and his friend almost rear-ended him. The biker allegedly told them he kills people for a living and that he “would blow their heads off.”

Officers advised a couple when a “lovers quarrel” broke out because “jealousy took over.”

A Kalispell store clerk told officers that a man in leather asked her what time the store closed, and when she answered he allegedly said, “maybe I will come back before then and rob you.” No robbery took place at that location.

Officers provided extra patrol after a Coram resident said floatation devices were stolen from his property while he was gone. He said he found the stolen objects in garbage cans later at Lake Five and didn’t want to file a report, but said it would do his “neighborhood good to see deputies patrolling from time to time.”
