Swan Mountain selected for Glacier trail rides

The National Park Service announced Thursday it has selected Swan Mountain Outfitters Glacier Division as the concessioner for guided interpretive horseback trail rides and pack animal services in Glacier National Park.

The new 10-year concession contract is anticipated to begin Jan. 1, 2017.

With more than 12 years of experience providing trail rides and pack trips out of seven locations in and around the park, the Glacier Division is a wholly owned subsidiary of Montana-based Swan Mountain Outfitters.

The National Park Service solicited proposals for the contract from March 25 through June 3.
