Copper King Fire

A long plume of smoke spreads from the Copper King Fire at 8:30 p.m. Sunday as viewed from the lookout at Pat’s Knob near Plains. The fire expanded Sunday to 6,908 acres; the smoke reached the Flathead Valley, particularly the Flathead Lake area. (Trip Burns/Clark Fork Valley Press)
