Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribal Health now can make Medicaid eligibility determinations for tribal health recipients.

The new authority delegates responsibility to Tribal Health to determine eligibility similar to other state public assistance offices throughout Montana.

Tribal health recipients between 19 and 64 with limited income who are not covered by Medicare may qualify for health coverage under Montana Medicaid expansion.

Tribal Health Medicaid technicians also will enroll children. Former foster children are eligible for Medicaid up to the age of 26.

Contact one of the Medicaid eligibility technicians to see if you qualify.
