VOLLEYBALL: Columbia Falls 6-0 at Tip-Off tournament

WHITEFISH — Columbia Falls and Corvallis were both undefeated during first-day action of the Northwest vs. Southwest Tip-Off volleyball tournament at Whitefish High School.

Columbia Falls defeated Hamilton, Stevensville and Dillon to go 6-0 for the Northwest on Friday.

Corvallis, from the Southwest, matched that with victories over Polson, Frenchtown and Eureka.

Whitefish had the next best showing, going 5-1 for the Northwest. The Bulldogs swept Stevensville and Dillon while splitting with Butte Central.

Butte Central, from the Southwest, is 4-2. The Maroons beat Frenchtown and split with Eureka.

Tournament action winds up today, starting at 9 a.m. Seeded play begins at 2:30 p.m.
