County pickup truck lost in roadside fire

No one was injured when a Flathead County-owned asphalt truck caught fire off U.S. 2 north of Evergreen on Friday afternoon.
According to Evergreen Fire Rescue Fire Marshal Ben Covington, the Chevy pickup pulled into Jagz restaurant when smoke started billowing from the vehicle.
"They tried to get it with their fire extinguishers, but it was just too much for them,” Covington said.
Kalispell Fire Department helped put the flames out, but the vehicle was a total loss.
