Austin Brown scored 34 points to lead Stillwater Christian to an 85-43 Montana Christian Athletic Association Western Division boys basketball vicotory over rival Flathead Valley Homeschool on Friday night at Stillwater Christian School.

Brown was 10 of 15 from 3-point range.

Stillwater, which had four players in double-figure scoring, led 52-21 at the half.

Isaac Newmann tallied 17 points and grabbed 17 rebounds for SCS (5-0 overall) while Joe Hooker finished with 13 points and 13 rebounds and Jeremiah Hooker netted 10.

WHITEFISH — Whitefish battled back from a slow start but couldn’t overtake Bigfork in dropping the nonconference contest.

Whitefish (0-5) trailed 16-8 after the opening quarter, but by halftime Whitefish was within two, down 30-28.

Bigfork held a 10-point edge with two minutes to play when Whitefish rallied again, this time falling three-points short.

Anders Epperly had 16 points and Logan Gilliard 14 for Bigfork.

Derek Kastella topped Whitefish, and all scorers, with 27 points.

THOMPSON FALLS — Ryggs Johnson scored 15 points and the Libby cut through the Thompson Falls defense for their first District 7B conference victory of the season.

Ryan Nagle scored 14 points and Erik Lauer added 13 for the Loggers (2-2), who built a 21-14 lead at halftime and held off a second half charge from the Blue Hawks (0-3).

McKenzie Holt had 14 points to lead Thompson Falls.

Dori Smith scored a career high 32 points and pulled down a game-high 15 rebounds to push Stillwater Christian (3-1, 2-0) to a Montana Christian Athletic Asociation Western Division victory over rival Flathead Valley Homeschool at Stillwater Christian School.

Smith pumped in 18 points in the third quarter.

Stillwater, up 27-20 at the half, outscored FVHS 22-9 in the third quarter to pull away. The Cougars attempted just one free throw.

Victoria Hanson topped Flathead Valley on offense with 23 points. Heidi Schneller added nine.

WHITEFISH — Jaime Berg led a balanced Bigfork offense with 15 points as the Valkryies beat Whitefish in a nonconference outing.

Bigfork, up 9-6 after the first period, outscored Whitefish 20-7 to take a 29-13 lead at the half.

Whitefish struggled against Bigfork’s 1-3-1 press in the second half. Bigfork totaled 30 steals, led by Abby Ellison with nine.

Rakiah Grende added 12 points and Ellison 10 for Bigfork.

Annisa Brown knocked down 15 points fo Whitefish (0-4).

Whitefish plays a Eureka on Tuesday.

Bigfork (2-2) plays at Libby today.
