Kalispell Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying a man reportedly involved in an indecent exposure incident that occurred Monday around 8 a.m. near Linderman Education Center in Kalispell.

The man — described as being in his late teens or early 20s — was driving a dark-colored SUV or truck with a topper, possibly a Chevrolet Trailblazer or Tahoe. The vehicle has a distinctive cab visor and running lights on the roof. Photos are posted to the City of Kalispell Facebook site.

The man is also described as white, average build, and clean-shaven with short, dark brown hair.

The man allegedly drove up to the victim, who was walking to school, and exposed himself, telling the victim to get into the car with him, according to Kalispell Police Department. The victim reportedly continued walking to school without further incident.

The suspected vehicle matches a report of a similar incident that occurred late last week near Flathead High School.

Kalispell Police Department School Resource Officer Cory Clarke said the separate incidents occurred between 8 a.m. and 8:10 a.m. and both victims were female students.

Clarke said extra patrol will be provided around the schools.

People are advised if they come into contact with the person or vehicle in question to seek safety first, then call 911.

“Do not approach the vehicle or engage the individual,” Clarke said.

Clarke also encouraged students to avoid walking to and from school alone, if possible.

People who have information regarding the incident are advised to call Clarke at 406-751-3476 or Kalispell Police Department Investigations Captain Doug Overman at 406-758-7793.
