Ronan girls continue hot start to season

RONAN — The Ronan girls dominated Missoula Loyola-Sacred Heart in the first half to run away with a 65-39 District 6B conference basketball victory on Monday.

The Maidens (2-0 6B, 5-0 overall) controlled the game from the tip, besting Loyola 17-5 in the first quarter and 21-9 in the second quarter to take a 38-14 lead at halftime, continuing to grow the lead until the fourth quarter.

Alicia Camel continued her scoring onslaught this season, dropping a game-high 27 points in the win.

Micalann McCrea added 14 points and Lee Camel 10 points for the Maidens.

Tessa Burke led the Breakers (0-3, 0-5) with 17 points.

MISSOULA — Loyola outscored Ronan 23-15 in the fourth quarter to mount a comeback victory in a District 6B conference game.

Ronan took a sizeable first quarter lead, and led 51-47 entering the final eight minutes, but couldn’t hang on.

Ezekiel Misa scored 11 points for the Chiefs. Ronan shared the ball in the loss, with 10 players scoring points.

Parker Davis had a game-high 28 points to lead Loyola and Fisher Richardson had 19 points. Jack Lincoln also had 11 points for the Rams.
