Glacier girls blast Butte in basketball

BUTTE — Glacier held Butte to four points in the opening quarter and just three for the second half for an easy 48-16 Class AA nonconference girls basketball victory on Wednesday.

Glacier, with a pair of 15-point quarters to open play, led 30-13 at intermission.

Nikki Krueger had 13 points for Glacier (2-2).

Abby Dodge led Butte with six.

BOZEMAN —Playing without its top player, senior Tiana Johnson, Flathead was no match for Bozeman.

Bozeman took a 35-6 halftime lead and never looked back to claim an easy Class AA nonconference win.

Riana Rogers led Bozeman in scoring with 15 points.

Kylee Meredith tallied 21 for Flathead.

Johnson was sidelined with an illness.

BUTTE — Butte jumped out to an 11-4 lead and never looked back in spilling Glacier in a Class AA nonconference matchup.

Glacier (3-1) could muster just seven points in the third quarter to trail 40-24.

Jaxen Hashley topped Glacier offensively with 11 points.

Brock Powell had a game-high 16 points for Butte. Ryson Lovshin added 14.

Glacier plays at Bozeman today.

BOZEMAN —Bozeman doubled the score on Flathead in the opening quarter and rolled from there to a Class AA nonconference victory.

Down 18-9, Flathead managed to hang with Bozeman for the remainer of play.

Tyler Johnson and Sam Elliott shared scoring honors for Flathead with 14 points each. Wyatt Potter added 11.

Drew Huse poured in 24 points for Bozeman.
