Glacier adds 17 student-athletes to Wall of Fame

Glacier High School added 17 student-athletes to its Wall of Fame on Tuesday evening in a special ceremony prior to the Missoula Big Sky at Glacier wrestling dual.

To qualify for the Wall of Fame, a student-athlete must display excellence in at least one activity where he/she must be at least a first team all-state performer, an individual state champion, receive 12 activity letters, earn All-Northwest honors in music, or earn the Founders Degree in theatre.

In addition, those selected must excel in at least two of the following areas: academic all-state (3.5 grade point average or above), established leadership roles in student council or a variety of clubs, a member of a state championship team, or letter in multiple activities.

The 2016 Wall of Fame class follows:

Hailee Bennett received Glacier’s Alpha Student-Athlete award for primarily excelling in basketball. She earned first team all-state honors on three different occasions and received second team honors in volleyball as a senior. She graduated with a 4.0 and was highly involved in choir. She is attending Seattle Pacific studying business and playing basketball.

Tom Mann was Class AA’s 2015 state individual golf champion, was all-state twice and was a member of the 2012 state championship team. He is currently attending Marymount California University while studying psychology and playing golf.

Anika Fritz excelled in speech and debate, earned a state championship in expository speaking and earned multiple place winnings in her four years. She was very active in the choir program. She earned the prestigious Founders Degree in theatre, totaled 12 varsity letters and was a leader in student council for four years.

Caleb Jones, a 4.0 student, was a first team all-state receiver and defensive back his senior year in football. He participated in band and was Glacier’s Alpha Wolf for his outstanding efforts in athletics. Jones participated in the Shrine and MonDak football games last summer. He is currently attending Whitworth, studying engineering and playing football.

Nathan MacGregor earned all-Northwest recognition in choir in 2014 and 2016. He earned a theatre’s Founder Degree as well as 12 varsity letters in theatre, band and choir. He is currently attending Concordia University at Irvine, studying both theatre and music.

McKayle Dennehy was a first team all-state soccer player her senior season. She was active in student council and Wolfpack Club for four years and participated in track and choir while earning seven varsity letters. She competed in the Shodair Soccer Classic last summer in Helena. Dennehy is currently attending Montana State, studying health sciences and education.

Aaron Robinson, the school’s former student body president, is attending Xavier where he is participating in track and theatre. He excelled in track, theatre and speech at Glacier. Robinson was a state champion in oratory and placed in multiple events at state. He was also a state champion in the 300 hurdles and two-time member of the short relay championship team. He earned the Founder’s Degree in theatre and totaled nine varsity letters in activities.

Spencer Johnson, a member of a state doubles state championship team in tennis, was also active in leadership positions in student council, Wolfpack Club, Spanish Club and National Honor Society. He graduated with a 4.0 and earned seven varsity letters. He is currently attending Montana State, studying engineering and international relations.

Colton Becker, a two- time, first team all-state soccer player as a forward, represented the Wolfpack in the Shodair Classic last summer. He participated in Wolfpack Club, DECA and National Honor Society. He is playing soccer at Northern Michigan and studying medicine.

Abby Van Allen earned 12 letters at Glacier in theatre, speech and choir. She placed multiple times at state in speech and earned the coveted Founders Degree in theatre. She received superior ratings all four years in choir. She is currently attending FVCC.

Thomas Trefney earned first team all-state honors his senior season and was also named the Western Conference MVP in football. The fullback played in the Shrine and MonDak football games last summer. He is currently playing football for Carroll College and studying engineering.

Ali Williams, a four-time all-state player, pitched two perfect games her senior year. She is on the Montana High School Association top 10 list for more than 60 pitching and hitting categories. Williams. a 4.0 student, earned 10 letters in softball, volleyball and basketball. She is currently playing softball for Carroll College and studying pre-med.

Ryker McIntyre earned 13 letters in soccer, speech, band and tennis. He placed at state and was named an All-American in speech. A 4.0 student, he scored a perfect 36 on his ACT and was a National Merit Finalist. He was active in DECA, Wolfpack Club and student council. He is currently attending the University of Notre Dame, studying math and science.

Teigan Avery was a two-time state golf champion and state runner-up and a national qualifier in speech. She earned eight letters in both activities. Avery playing is golf for the University of Montana, where she is studying economics and political science.

Colin Cordell he received all-Northwest band honors in 2016. He also participated in theatre. He is currently an Americorp volunteer.

Adam Habel was the state champion in Memorized Public Address in speech as a senior. He received All- Northwest honors and multiple superior ratings in music. Habel totaled 12 letters in choir, band and theatre. He joins both his brother, Ben, and sister, Keckely as members of the Wall of Fame. He is studying business and early American history at Butler University.

Kyersten Siebenaler was a state speech champion in Legislative Debate. A 4.0 student, she placed multiple times in debate and qualified for nationals. She was heavily involved in leadership in Student Council, DECA and golf while earning seven varsity letters. Siebenaler is studying international economics at the University of Notre Dame.
