Woman retracts account of bar fight

A Kalispell woman called the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office to retract her statement as a witness to a bar fight that broke out the night before because she allegedly was highly intoxicated when she gave the account.

A man brought his mom to the Sheriff’s Office after another family member allegedly stole the woman’s credit card and drained her account.

A woman called police to report her wallet was stolen after someone helped her carry something heavy to her car. She later canceled the report after she found her purse and realized the stranger hadn’t taken her belongings.

A Bigfork woman called police because “her 13-year-old son wasn’t listening to her again.” The woman told officers her son had gone to bed so she no longer needed help.

Officers advised a man when he called police because his ex-wife and her boyfriend were stuck in his driveway and he didn’t want to let them inside.

An out-of-state family visiting the Flathead Valley for the holidays called Whitefish Police with concerns over “the current white supremacist situation.”

Officers apprehended two women who allegedly shoplifted from a Whitefish store. According to a store employee, the two women ran from the scene after they triggered the store’s alarms, but returned later to customer service.

A woman called Columbia Falls Police after her boyfriend allegedly stole her car and drove it around a gas station. The car was reportedly returned to the owner later the day.

A high school student called Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office to report he had tracked down his cell phone using a phone locator after the device was allegedly stolen from him at school.

Kalispell Fire Department and emergency responders arrived at the Samaritan House in Kalispell after a report of a small fire. According to Samaritan officials, a child left plastic on a stove and the fire was contained to the stove. No one was harmed.
