Emergency mistaken for drinking issue

A person flagged down Whitefish Police Sunday night to report a man had passed out behind a bar after a presumably long night of drinking. Police found the man had actually suffered a stroke and called an ambulance.

Someone dropped off a dog in a kennel at the Whitefish Police Department.

Columbia Falls Police Department received a report of a dog found on Montana 206. The caller picked it up and brought it to Columbia Falls. The caller held on to the dog for the night.

Evergreen, Columbia Falls and Big Mountain fire departments each responded to fire alarms on Sunday.
