Did wannabe arsonist got cold feet?

Whitefish Police responded to Huckleberry Lane, where a person reported that a house he or she had been working on had been broken into and vandalized. The windows were broken, and gasoline was poured all over. The person who found the mess thought there it might have been an instance of attempted arson.

A worker at a business on East First Street was concerned that middle school and high school students might have been spotted doing drug deals in the establishment. An employee witnessed a cash exchange, and the police had already told the worker to give them a call if the kids showed up at the place again. An officer escorted one of the children to a residence.


Columbia Falls Police took a report about someone possibly breaking into a vehicle on Fourth Avenue East, only to find out that the vehicle’s owner had locked himself out of the vehicle.


Kalispell Police Department took a report from a mom on Second Street West who said that her son had been bullied by another child who threatened to kill the boy and choke him until he lost consciousness.

A homeless man was allowed to stay in the department’s lobby for the night after someone called 911 and wanted the man checked on because he seemed “creepy.”

Potential pizza pilferers were not able to outsmart workers at a joint where they allegedly had tried to use several different names to order delivery pizzas paid for with stolen checks. The information was forwarded to officers.

A woman called from a hotel to say that a man who was served a no-contact order earlier that day did not obey the document and was in the hallway outside her room at one point. The man entered her room and took her phone before leaving, the woman claimed. Officers were unable to locate the man, who was listed as “armed and dangerous” and allegedly wanted for extradition on felony drug warrants out of Washington by the Department of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms.

Officers were unable to locate a drone that was seen hovering outside of a bank’s window. The bank had security footage of the drone, which was described as large and white.


Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies took a report from Somers, where vandals had painted the side of the school.

A television, stereo, “tons of other things, and some guns were reported stolen from a home on U.S. 93 near Whitefish.

A man calling from Sunny View Lane near Kalispell asked for assistance after his girlfriend allegedly beat him up. The pair were in a drunken arguments and were told to come into the station. Pictures were taken in the emergency room of the man’s injuries for evidence purposes.

A trailer belonging to a Boy Scout group was broken into at a location in Bigfork. It wasn’t immediately known what was taken.

A man on Eckleberry Drive reported that his son had threatened to kill him. The man said the son carried a large knife and several swords on his person or in his vehicle. The man believed his son was using drugs. A deputy advised the man about how to get a restraining order.
