Frances L. Tice, 85

Frances L. Tice, 85, “went to be with the Lord” on Jan. 27, 2016.

She was born in Spokane, Washington, on Feb. 20, 1930. to William E. Chase Jr. and Lillian M. (Satterly) Chase.

When Frances was 18 months old Lillian married Lowe D. Adsitt, who raised Frances as his own. Frances grew up in Spokane and attended Rogers High School, where she was part of the tumbling team. She married Everett Leroy Tice on May 22, 1951. Frances and Everett lived in Spokane until they moved to Lewiston, Idaho, in 1962. Frances opened up and ran a ceramic shop out of her home. Ceramics was her passion and throughout the years she had many students. After Everett retired they moved to Kalispell, where she continued that passion until she retired at the age of 82. Frances was a longtime member of The Risen Christ Catholic Parish in Kalispell.

Frances is survived by her children, Dennis (Marika) Tice of Deer Lodge, Candis (Dennis) Myers of Henderson, Nevada, Michael Tice of Kalispell, Kathleen (Troy) Klunder of Gambell, Alaska, and John Tice of Kalispell. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren; sister Katherine (Louis) Wentzel of Manvel, Texas, brother Ronald (Rita) Adsitt of Dupont, Washington, sister Patricia (James) Murphey of Spokane, sister Barbara (Jerry) Shaw of Mount Vernon, Washington, sister-in-law Linda Adsitt, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Everett and brother Richard Adsitt.
