A Flathead County Sheriff’s animal control officer was dispatched to Spring Creek Drive in Kalispell where a man said his neighbor was upset about him owning chickens. The animal control officer told the man that he did not know of any rule banning the fowl, but that the man should check with his homeowners association and the county planning office to double check.

A man returned from a hospital stay to his home on East Evergreen Drive to find that his checkbook had been pilfered. Several checks had cleared, but the thief had also been allegedly caught on camera making the unauthorized purchases.

A woman who was told not to go to a Whitefish property allegedly went there anyway and caused some sort of vehicle vs. house crash. The woman had originally called to ask if her husband could be told to leave the property. She was in the process of getting a no-contact order against the man.

The man said that the woman had sent him 67 messages since then, threatening to put his address on Facebook and write on the social media platform that he had tried to push her out. The man warned that he lived in the woods and would defend his home if anyone showed up to the address. The man was told to block communication with the woman and that he could seek a no-contact order if he thought it was necessary.

A woman called from U.S. 2 outside of Kalispell after she received a text message from her nephew about some money she had borrowed. A person on South Hilltop Road reported that a 4-year-old boy had been thrown across a room by a drunken man. The injury caused the child’s toe to bleed. The man left, but not before allegedly pushing and dragging a woman and banging her head against a wall. The man did not make it very far as the woman he had hurt got a phone call from him a short time later. He allegedly said that he had gotten his vehicle stuck. He didn’t have to stay out in the cold for long however, as he was soon escorted to the warm confines of Flathead County Detention Center.

A woman was described by another female caller as “blonde, super-cute, and tiny” but a little bit disruptive as the caller said that the woman had been drinking heavily at a bar and tried to drive. Maneuvering the vehicle proved to be too much for the woman, as she allegedly hit two parked cars. The caller then took the woman’s keys, and the woman allegedly screamed at people standing outside. An officer took her for booking at the jail.
