Minnie Knopfle Brimhall, born Aug. 22, 1922, passed away in her sleep at Heritage Place in Kalispell on Jan. 30, 2016, at the age of 93.

She was born in Upham, North Dakota, and had lived in Montana, Seattle, Salt Lake City and Payson, Utah. Being born during the Great Depression and a meager upbringing, she found a love for shoes and coats and will be remembered by her family for her collection.

She was the mother of six children, Karen, Glenda, David, Norma, Gordon and Becky. She is survived by 20 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and even great-great-grandchildren.

To her grandchildren, she was known as “Grandma B.” They were fond of her great stories, her love of life and all her hugs.

She was preceded in death by brothers, sisters and by her great-grandson, Jonathan Hickam.

Her lively spirit and good humor will be missed by all who knew her.

A celebration of Minnie’s life will be held at a later date to be determined.
