Two men were seen fighting inside a red Volkswagen Jetta and somehow knocked a handgun out of the window. Once the gun hit the ground, the passenger got out of the car and ran away while the driver took off in another direction, the caller told Kalispell Police.

A central Kalispell employee called police to report “three kids on the north side of the building using needles and shooting up.” Officers were unable to find the youths. About four hours later, an employee from the same address called police to report seeing two men meeting up with a third man, started “smelling something in a baggy and then exchanged it for money.” The employee told police she stepped outside to tell them drug deals were not allowed there and that they should move along.

A Kalispell resident called about a suspicious-looking man standing outside a red pickup near the caller’s home. The man eventually drove away, but the caller seemed to think that the vehicle didn’t belong to the man.

Someone saw one person from a group of teenagers pick up a stray brick from the ground and begin carrying it while the group continued walking. The caller was concerned about what would be done with the brick.

An employee at a Kalispell store called police after a customer told him that he was carrying a gun and then told the employee to call the police. The armed customer left after the phone call but was picked up by police and taken to the hospital for a mental evaluation.

Another store was hit by a small gang of shoplifters who left the area in a car with Idaho license plates.

A west-side Kalispell resident said her vehicle had been broken into overnight.

A Kalispell landlord asked police to clear a man, woman and their two children from the property two hours after noon on the day their lease ended.

A woman was seen screaming and “flailing around” at a fire hall. She apparently tried to open the door several times before moving along.

Police received a call from a concerned neighbor who heard some sort of altercation happening upstairs.

A resident found a purse and brought it to the Columbia Falls Police Department.

A man called Whitefish Police Department after he was punched in the face five times by another man. The caller said he and the other man had been drinking at a bar in Whitefish but didn’t say what started the altercation.

Two young men allegedly stole a $20 cellphone charger from a Whitefish business before jumping into a car where a third man was waiting, ready to escape.

One Whitefish resident called about shots being fired but wasn’t sure if it was gunshots or fireworks. The caller’s neighbor also reported as many as eight shots fired in the area.
