A proposed 10-unit apartment building in Evergreen and a plan to build a church west of Kalispell are projects the Flathead County Board of Adjustment will consider during public hearings on March 1.

George Joseph, on behalf of Falcon Peak LLC, is asking for a conditional-use permit to build an apartment building at 34 W. Evergreen Dr. The 0.5-acre lot is currently developed with a house, but the property is zoned for residential apartments.

There are several apartment buildings in the neighborhood, according to the county Planning Office staff report.

One of the conditions for approval is parking for a minimum of 23 vehicles.

David Van Buren, on behalf of Word of Life, is asking for a conditional-use permit to establish a church on 5.6 acres at the north end of Hathaway Lane near Kalispell. A future family life center also is planned, the staff report stated.

A public hearing for the Word of Life project initially was scheduled for the Feb. 2 Board of Adjustment meeting but was postponed to March 1.

The board meets at 6 p.m. March 1 in the second-floor conference room of the Earl Bennett Building, 1035 First Ave. W. in Kalispell.
