LETTER: Don't use Reagan's words to try to destroy Scalia's legacy

| February 21, 2016 7:45 AM

Jerry Reckin’s letter of Feb. 19 is totally false in its implications. Ronald Reagan appointed Justice Scalia in 1986. Don’t try to use Reagan’s words to hurt the legacy of Scalia.

Obama wants to appoint another left-winger who would try to destroy traditional values. He already has appointed two.

Now, we hear that he is too busy to go to Justice Scalia’s funeral. One reporter asked if the president would be golfing instead. Or maybe he just has to travel to Hawaii or Palm Springs. —Richard D. Gunlikson, Lakeside
