MISSOULA — Katie Stahl scored 15 points and the Missoula Hellgate girls pulled away from Flathead in a Western AA basketball game on Tuesday night.

The Bravettes (4-15 overall, 0-11 Western AA) hung close with Hellgate in the first quarter, trailing just 10-7 after eight minutes, but couldn’t keep pace.

Hellgate outscored Flathead 14-5 in the second quarter and 16-10 out of halftime to extend that one-possession lead to 40-22 after the third quarter.

Tiana Johnson had nine points for the Bravettes and Kylee Meredith and Sierra Siblerud each had eight points.

Flathead plays its final game of the regular season on Friday in a crosstown clash at Glacier. Glacier won the first meeting 59-36 at Flathead.
