Pearl Caroline (Timmreck) Gladstone, 92, passed away Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016.
Originally from Williston, North Dakota, Pearl was born on Friday, Nov. 13, 1923, to Bertha and Wesley Timmreck.
Pearl was married to Wallace J. Gladstone (deceased) and settled in Seattle after World War II. She worked as a waitress at Nifty’s Café on Harbor Island in West Seattle for over a quarter century. Pearl retired with full union benefits in 1986.
She loved supporting her three children in their various pursuits and professions — Gail, as a dental hygienist and equestrian enthusiast; Carol, as an accountant and canine trainer; and Jack, as a performing/recording artist and lyric poet.
Pearl loved all animals, but especially kittens, puppies and horses, Western movies and TV shows, garage sales and betting on the ponies at Emerald Downs Race Track.
Pearl is survived by daughters, Gail and Ron, and Carol and Laddie; son, Jack, and Patti; and two grandchildren, Mariah and Scot; along with 28 nieces and nephews.
Pearl Gladstone’s memorial service is being held in March at Avalon Care Center in Federal Way, Washington. Her final resting place will be in the St. Mary Valley, Blackfeet Indian Reservation.
