Ronald Larry Jones, 83

Ronald Larry Jones, 83, passed away in his home with his loving family around him on Feb. 19, 2016.

He was born in LaPorte, Indiana, to Harry L. and Jeanette A. Jones. His family moved to Mountain Brook, Montana, when he was about 3 years old.

He attended Mountain Brook Elementary School through eighth grade and finished at Flathead County High School.

He then joined the Navy in from 1951 to 1955.

After his time in the Navy, Ron spent eight years as a Kalispell police officer, and then moved on to spend 30 years working for the Flathead County Road Department taking excellent care of the roads from Hungry Horse to Polebridge.

Ronnie loved helping his friends and neighbors in the canyon area.

Ronnie was survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Eva; his brother, Harry; his son, Gregory; daughters, Cathy and Kari; grandsons, Casey, Tyler and Cole; granddaughters, Jessica and Karley; great-grandchildren, Jersy, Kolby, River and Nola; and great-great-grandchild, Exavier.

A celebration of life will be held in the summer of 2016.
