Kila crash victim identified
Authorities have released the identity of a Kila woman who died in a Wednesday afternoon car crash.
Emma C. Jore, 56, died after being airlifted from the crash scene to Kalispell Regional Hospital.
Jore’s Subaru ran off Browns Meadow Road and hit a tree at around 4 p.m. Wednesday. She was alone in the vehicle at the time of the crash.
The cause of the crash is under investigation, though Montana Highway Patrol Trooper John Underwood said speed might have been a factor. Jore was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
Jore worked as a day-care provider in Polson for many years, served as an in-home care provider and worked at Rosauers bakery. She also was a volunteer at Kalispell Regional Medical Center.
