Boys counseled about impolite behavior
Whitefish Police counseled two boys who were allegedly riding bikes on East Second Street. A caller reported that the boys had almost hit a vehicle and were getting near property that was not theirs. The caller said that the youths had jumped up on his trailer and that he got a one-finger salute after he asked the boys what they were up to.
An officer responded to a supermarket where a man was caught shoplifting, but complied with the orders of store security after the alleged crime.
An officer gave a man a ride from Spokane Avenue up to Big Mountain after a taxi was unavailable to get the man to his destination safely.
A family was told that members would have to take a dispute over a truck to civil court if the relatives wanted resolution to the matter. A man had died in North Dakota and his girlfriend was disputing whether or not she or his daughter-in-law should have the vehicle.
Columbia Falls Police took a report from a woman who believed her 3-year-old son might be missing. The boy was found to be fine and in the care of his father, who was at the woman’s mother’s house.
A woman was stopped on South Hilltop Road, taken to the police station and cited for multiple unspecified offenses. The woman’s car was towed and an officer gave her a ride to a home.
Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man at a residence off Billadeau Road after he got into a domestic dispute with a woman and allegedly broke into her home and took all of her belongings.
A man called from a Libby fast food establishment to report that he was being verbally assaulted, but when an officer spoke with witnesses he determined nothing had happened. The person who made the report was asked to leave.

A passerby helped clean the man up, but thought that an officer might want to check on him since he appeared to be pedaling while drunk.

Officers responded to 10th Street West, where a woman reported that she had been visiting her two children when her husband’s mistress had shoved her around. The alleged mistress claimed that the wife had been rubbing her breasts on the other woman and that she had pushed her away. Neither woman wanted to press charges.
