Driver just wanted to curl up and sleep

On New Year’s Eve in Whitefish, a man was arrested for driving drunk after he navigated his car into a ditch, walked to the house across the street and asked the homeowner if he could “curl up in the corner and go to sleep.” He was arrested by Whitefish Police.

A Whitefish resident reported “strange lights in the sky” Thursday night. The caller described the spectacle as two groups of orange-red lights that didn’t appear to be fireworks.

A man dialed 911 to explain he had been kicked out of a Whitefish bar and didn’t know why. He ended the call with an obscenity directed at the dispatcher.

A shoeless man in a Whitefish alley didn’t know where he was. Responding officers helped him get a room for the night at a local lodge.

Columbia Falls Police responded to a woman who called to report people knocking on her door and lighting off large fireworks by her vehicle.

A Columbia Falls woman believed two tires on her car had been slashed by her boyfriend’s ex-wife.
