Free mammograms offered today at Health Department

The Flathead City-County Health Department will provide free mammograms today on the Winkley Mobile Mammography Coach in partnership with the Montana Cancer Screening Program and Save A Sister Initiative.

Private insurance may also be billed for women with insurance coverage.

The mammograms will be offered from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the health department, 1035 First Ave. W. in Kalispell.

The Health Department recommends that all women starting at age 50 receive biannual mammography to detect for breast cancer. Early detection provides the best chance of survival.
