Gibson 'Gib' Delano, 55

Gibson “Gib” Delano, 55, passed away Dec. 30, 2015, in Casper, Wyoming.

He was born July 15, 1960, in Bozeman.

A loving and generous father and husband, Gib had a genuine concern for all. Gib was proud of the time he spent in the Coast Guard, finishing top in his class and getting a letter of commendation as Master at Arms on the Dauntless for his service. He was a ship captain of a gambling ship and seemed to excel at everything he did. Gib loved playing the guitar, water skiing, sports, and spending time with his family and pets. He will be missed.

Gib is survived by his daughter, Laura, wife of many years, Sylvia Delano, and Joshua Betcher, all of Casper, Jenny Betcher of Montana, sister Becky Olsen of Monroe, North Carolina, brother Gary John Delano of Indigo, California, and their families.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hazel and Gary Lee Delano.

Graveside services will be held in the summer in Helena, to be announced.

In lieu of flowers there will be a fund set up for Gib’s minor daughter Laura’s college fund.

Bustard’s Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
