Ronald W. Kizer, 82

Ronald W. Kizer, 82, of Columbia Falls, died Jan. 17, 2016.

Ronald was born in Forest Grove, Montana, on June 3, 1933, to Eustus and Edna (Dundom) Kizer. He was raised in Forest Grove and attended schools in Fergus County.

In 1953 he married Ruth Buckentin in Lewistown. Throughout Ronald’s life he was a farmer, rancher and millwright.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, swimming, canoeing, volleyball and spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of the Church Property board, helped the elderly with multiple repair work, did missions to Mexico, and helped build a church.

After 49 years of marriage, Ruth passed away. Ronald later married Barbara Olsen-Hanson on Dec. 29, 2004.

Ronald is survived by wife, Barbara Kizer; sons, Randy Kizer and Trina, and Rory Kizer and Joann; daughters, Reva Wells, and Rona Dubay and Dan; stepchildren, Gary Hanson Jr., Deborah Brown and Jeff, and Judy Peiffer; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Norma Brown and Fern Fisher.

Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 21, at Trinity Lutheran Church with private family burial.
