LETTER: 'Attack' on letter writer called inappropriate

I noticed that Mr. Al Weed wrote a detailed civilized letter rebutting a number of nasty slurs and inaccurate claims about President Obama. Mr. Weed’s letter was responded to with another letter filled with invective, personal attacks, and suggestions that Mr. Weed in not a patriotic American.

Al Weed’s family has been in the Flathead over 100 years. He is an upstanding, well-educated, thoughtful, and generous husband and father. Please note that he is also a retired career U.S. Air Force officer. Insults and attacks on his character are disgusting. —Troy Evans, Lakeside and Los Angeles, Calif.
