LETTER: GOP should try governing for a change

| July 3, 2016 8:30 AM

Benghazi, Benghazi: the Republicans have been trying for 25 years to nail Hillary Clinton with something that will stick, and now they have failed again, with a politically motivated investigation that cost the taxpayers $7 million, took longer than the 9/11 probe, and basically found nothing new.

Perhaps if Congress had appropriated more money for staff and security for our diplomatic outposts around the world, this tragedy could have been avoided.

The GOP, as majority party, should try governing for a change, instead of their bankrupt tactics of endless obstruction and political witch hunts.
