LETTER: Why do pilots get treated differently?

Pilots and airport enthusiasts are being discriminated against.

Why shouldn’t the City Airport be tax-supported just like many other places around town? For example, the Eagle Transit buses, a water park and skateboard place at Woodland Park and the Kidsports park north of town. The city also owns Buffalo Hill golf course. However, I expect it is self-supporting, as there are a lot of people who like knocking that little ball around.

I am sure none of the others are though.

The City Airport has a much better chance of becoming self-supporting than any of the others mentioned.
