Airport sets June passenger record

Glacier Park International Airport set a passenger record in June, accommodating 21,775 enplaned revenue passengers. That compares to 21,280 passengers in June 2015 and 20,019 passengers in June 2014.

The airport had record numbers of passengers in five of the first six months of 2016, Airport Director Cindi Martin said. Last year the airport served a record 236,628 passengers, and is on track to break that record in 2016, with passenger traffic to date up 5.8 percent over the same period in 2015.

“The growing consumer demand reflects the appeal of the Flathead Valley and Glacier National Park region,” Martin said in a press release. “We appreciate our airline partners and their demonstrated faith in the region, adding up-gauged aircraft, increased flight frequency and serve to and through more hubs.”

Glacier Park International Airport is served by Alaska, Allegiant, Delta and United, with year-round service to Denver, Las Vegas, Minneapolis, Salt Lake City and Seattle. Additional seasonal service is offered to Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angeles, Oakland/San Francisco and Portland.
