Comments sought on Kalispell utility plan

The Kalispell Public Works Department is seeking public comment on the South Kalispell Water and Wastewater Facility Plan Update.

The update is a supplement to the adopted 2008 Water and Wastewater Facility Plan. The plan’s objective is to identify and plan for water and sewer system needs to service existing and new development within the city’s annexation boundaries. This update will aid new development and the city in planning for utility extensions in the south corridors of Kalispell using smart-growth principles.

Written comments may be submitted to Public Works, P.O. Box 1997, Kalispell, MT 59903; or by email publicworks@kalispell.com with “Facility Plan Update Comment’ in the subject line. Phone comments can be directed to 758-7720. The Public Works Department will review any comments received and hold a public hearing on the matter. The public hearing has not been scheduled. The Public Works Department will accept comments through Aug. 19.
