LAW ROUNDUP: Loaded log truck hits underpass
Kalispell Police Department responded to an allegedly overloaded logging truck which had two logs hit an underpass and roughly four to five logs fall onto the roadway, causing traffic lanes to be temporarily blocked. One vehicle struck a log in the roadway, which caused a flat tire.
Three “out of control” women were “being sassy” and refused to leave a bar on First Avenue West. Before the women moved along, they made sure people knew that they would voice their concerns to management in the morning.
A grandmother who was traveling through the area with her grandchildren called dispatchers to find out “what are bad areas of towns” and “which hotels she should and should not stay in.”
An Eighth Avenue East North resident thought it was odd that some people outside were throwing items into trees, “moo-ing” and making strange noises for at least 20 minutes.
The manager of an apartment complex on North Meridian Road said a man was screaming obscenities and threatening to “put people in a body bag.” The manager said the man has also previously threatened violence.
A frustrated man wanted his 39- or 40-year-old stepson, who allegedly doesn’t pay rent, to move out of the basement because he was allegedly “raising hell,” yelling at his girlfriend and cussing.
Someone on Third Avenue East North wanted to press charges against a man who allegedly admitted to throwing rocks at railroad cars. The man had also reportedly pushed a woman on the ground.
Someone “was very sure” he or she saw a very large, confused mountain lion go through a Second Street West parking lot.
Whitefish Police Department received a report of a burglary on Colorado Avenue.
A man was seen allegedly throwing rocks at, and “beating up,” a car that a woman was sitting inside on Waverly Place.
Two children, one naked and one in a diaper, were seen wandering alone in an apartment complex on Montana 35 in Kalispell. One of the children was allegedly crying and both were shivering. A woman told Flathead County Sheriff’s Office that she put blankets and a jacket around the children and stated that this is the third day they have been unattended.
A burglary was reported on Trumble Creek Road in Kalispell.
A man on Lake Drive in Columbia Falls said he found burned pieces of wood in his mailbox.
A counterfeit $100 bill was reported by a bank on U.S. 2 East in Kalispell.
A mailbox went missing on Park Drive in Kalispell.
A man told officers that another man threatened to “knock his lights out,” on River Road in Kalispell.
Vehicles were reported stolen on Meadows Road in Whitefish and on U.S. 2 east of Kalispell.
A woman on Smokey Bear Lane in Columbia Falls told police that while she was on vacation her landlord reportedly started burning all her possessions and moved in another tenant.
There was disharmony on Harmony Road in Kalispell when someone said neighbors on Reddy Freddy Lane were yelling, screaming and throwing things around.
A mother said her daughter was assaulted on Spring Creek Drive in Kalispell.
