George passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on July 8, 2016. The cause of death was congestive heart failure.

He was born on Nov. 14, 1929, in Spokane.

George was married to Doris Clark until her passing in 1994. He has been married to Barbara Elliott Clark for the past 20 years. They recently relocated from Canon Beach, Oregon, to The Dalles, Oregon.

George is survived by his wife Barbara, daughters Connie Clark and Teri Ward (Walt Ward), and son Lonnie Clark. George had four stepchildren that include Randy Elliott (Kathy Elliott), Rick Elliott (Maureen Elliott), Linda Elliott Cummings (deceased 2015) (Bill Cummings), and Mike Elliott. George is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

His son Gary Clark (Julie Clark) was deceased in 2003.

After finishing high school, George attended Gonzaga University and went on to graduate in hospital administration from the University of Washington School of Medicine. George was the assistant hospital administrator at St. Patrick’s Hospital from 1963 until 1973. He then became the hospital administrator of Kalispell Regional Hospital in 1973. George retired from Kalispell Regional Hospital in 1994.

The retirement years were wonderful for George and Barbara. They lived a very full life that included traveling extensively, living between Palm Springs, California, and Canon Beach, and spending quality time with family and friends.

The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 22, at Risen Christ Parish, 65 W. Evergreen Drive, Kalispell.
